Aging

Tonight, I snuggled the kids up in their towels after their baths and called them, "my babies!" Sofie, of course, rejected the term baby and assured me that she's actually a big girl. Then she said, "Someday I'm gonna grow like fifty-five." I laughed at the thought of it and then she added, "And you're gonna be like, "Sofie, what the heck happened to you?!"

Indeed.

Coppelia



We took the kids to see their cousin Lillian perform in Longmont Dance Theatre's production of Coppelia this afternoon. They didn't make it through the whole show, but I think they enjoyed the parts that they saw. After seeing the show I'm really proud to have Sofie dancing with this company. They did a pretty impressive job of putting together the performance and pride themselves on using a live orchestra for all of their productions. I really enjoyed taking Sofie up to peek in the pit during intermission!

Van was slightly confused by the concept of a live ballet. I overheard him whisper to Daddy, "Are they real?" and then a minute or two later, "Do they talk?" So sweet :)

Loveland, CO

Today we visited Loveland's Benson Sculpture Park.

(Van's favorite because "his peens is sticking out")

Also, the mountains looked cool today!
